A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he’ll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary? – John Grogan from Marley and Me
Awesome movie! And since we’re on the topic of movies, I CAN’T WAIT FOR…
JULIE AND JULIA!!! Did ya’ll think I was gonna say Twilight’s next installment New Moon? BLAHH.. that movie/book is way overrated. Anyhoos, Julie and Julia stars Meryl Streep (Mamma Mia!, The Devil Wears Prada) who is an exceptional actress in her own right, and Amy Adams (Enchanted, Catch Me If You Can). Trailer to follow after the jump. The plot:
“Julia Child (Meryl Streep) and Julie Powell (Amy Adams) are featured in writer-director Nora Ephron’s adaptation of two bestselling memoirs: Powell’s Julie & Julia and My Life in France, by Julia Child with Alex Prud’homme. Based on two true stories, Julie & Julia intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends…until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible. Written by Columbia Pictures” extracted from imdb.com
A movie about FOOD, blogging and well.. FOOD, amen!! Can’t wait!
Other movies that I’m anticipating for:
– Up from Pixar — hoping to catch it on 3D at the imax theatre
– Transformers 2
– The Proposal — starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds — storyline is a direct copy cat of korean dramas main catalyst of “forced relationships” a la accident weddings or contracts of some sort or another, where opposites attract — think What Happens in Vegas, etc etc.. you get the picture. Looks like a good laugh and Sandra Bullock does comedies so well.
The only setback from going to the movies is that they’ve jacked up adult prices to $17 — says my workmate. Did a quick browse through GU and it’s $10 for members — now that’s what I’m talking about.. hahaha
