Josh Thomas, Surprise

Apologies for the lack of bloggisms… had a rather hectic week of fainting dizzy spells, massive lack of sleep, work starting at dawn (beautiful time to take photos!) and to cap the week off, dinner at Chopstix, a visit to the gardens to see stand up comedian – Josh Thomas and a visit to the Travel expo to hoard home a dozen and more travel brochures in searching of a good holiday deal for the near future. Hell yeah!

Dinner was good, Alicante was excellent… hahaha! The garden was PACKED seeing that the Fringe has now officially started… woot! Lined up outside the Spiegeltent to see Josh Thomas and he was… good. His show’s called “Surprise” and little did I know that he was gay! So… that in itself, was a surprise to me. He was funny, he was gay, he was candid and he… yeah, he’s Josh Thomas.

Garden of Unearthly Delights

Yayyyyyyyy! The Garden of Unearthly Delights is open and it’s time to check it out. The Fringe festival is also just around the corner too, which only means, there’s something to do on the weekends and places to go with people to see. Loves it!

Jenn and I caught up and headed to the gardens after finding a nice little park, score! We didn’t have any intentions on seeing any shows, more like a coffee, maybe a corn on a cob and just wander around the gardens.

After seeing a line up of people filing into a show (there are many which are scattered all over the gardens), I asked one of the girls at the front how much tickets were, just out of curiousity. Unbeknownst to us, there was a spare ticket and she was going to sell it to us for cheap…. CHEAP! She gave us two spots in the audience for the price of $8.00 each instead of the $18.75 per ticket… score!! We proceed into the Ring Box and enjoy Circus Trick Tease consisting of acrobatics, balances and headstands.

If you were wondering, yes, those are socks down his… you know what.

Halfway through the show, my camera dies and I resort to my iPhone:

Went into the freakn museum and saw lots weird ass shizzles. Here we have a two headed rabbit, a cyclop chicken with one eye and no brain, and a fish with a human face… roarrr!

I can’t wait to go again next week! =P Booyaaaaa… onto other things:

Anyone with a case of Mondayitis today? Gah…

Another weekend by and another brand new week starts… oh fun!

Due to a bout of tennis withdrawals, I decided to watch a Fed Cup tennis match between Russia and USA which of course, had Safin and Roddick playing against each other. Oh boy, was it good or what! And with Clijsters and Henin staging comebacks… Safin, you wanna follow suit and make one for the mens side?!

Moving along, I’ve told the daddio that if he happens to down by the markets and comes across any old school vintage cameras, to purchase them for me, that is of course, considering that they are cheap. Who would’ve thought the he came home with a bunch of cameras! Seven to be exact! That’s right, count them with your hand, wait… count them with both hands… SEVEN. Look at this hefty lot he scored for me:

cameras vintage, pentax, minolta, polaroid, kodak, olympus, canon
Polaroid Spectra System SE, Kodak EK6, Minolta X-300, Pentax ME Super, 2 x Olympus digicams and a Canon. Phew! Why oh why did he buy those old school crapola digital cameras?! Blah…

Looks like the collection is growing sooner than I’d though… oh mwahaha. Now time to hunt down some polaroid film!

It’s almost the end of the week… yayers all around!

So the stupid me got burnt at work today… whilst trying to get my toasted sandwich off the toaster hot plate… pfft. Little did I know that I was supposed to run my finger under running cold water immediately at least for a few minutes to stop the “cooking of flesh”. (Is this really true? Someone… verify please?) Anyhoos, about an hour later, my finger is stinging like no other and I proceed to stuff it between my icy cold water bottle and the cloth wrapping around it just to cool it down. Lets’ just say, the finger was not in working order for the last half of the day. FAIL.

Aside from the burnt finger and no bird shat on my head this week, that’s the most exciting thing to date… Exciting, if even that.

So… who’s the man?

He’s the man! All hail the greatest and most talented tennis player. EVER. Read it folks, EVER! Oh how blessed we are to witness this man play tennis.. oh hohoho! =) Poor Mandy, but hey, he’s only 22! He’ll get there some day.

On to other news, caught up with the girls on Friday night at Eggless, where all desserts made are… eggless! Food was good, and service was most excellent too! Cecilia and I got ourselves into some ‘trouble’, if you can even call it that… but on our way back to the car (parked on a side street), this hummer with at least two guys drove by, stopped, honked, yelled, and started banging their rooftop (one assamahole was poking his screwed up head through the sun roof). We stopped, I suggested we walk back to the main road as it was the safest thing to do. Whilst we were walking back, I could see their tail lights reversing through the reflection of the glass doors of shops ahead of us… and that is when… C BOLTED! Hahhahaha, she did tell me to run as well but I was getting there and turned the corner, the dickheads left (thank gosh), we called up T and her boyfriend, and plus one to come back and walk us to our car… so T, Tim and plus one, thank you very muchies!! Those dickfaces were most likely high and drunk seeing that the Big Day Out just finished and was just around the corner from where we were. BLAH!!!

After dropping C off, I headed to ‘the morning lover’s’ farewell as she is leaving to London tomorrow to live and work and live.. and work… (I am so jealous!) I wish her the best of luck and to have a fantabulous time! She will be missed but a group of us may/will be jetting off to see her either sometime this year or next. (Next year please… I need to save monies pronto!) =D At the farewell, I also bumped into an old friend of mine that I have not seen for yonkers! Something like 5 or 7 years? (That makes me sound so oldddddd) So it was really good seeing him again, big shout out to M!

Saturday entailed… hibernating indoors and away from the heat… oh and Serena Williams won the AO back to back.. blah! Am I the only one that thinks that she is fake? MEH.
